During the years that I was flying a great deal, it made sense to concentrate on one airline and build some credit through their point system to upgrade the travel experience and make it a “bit nicer”. I flew Air Canada most of the time. And that gave us some “points” which have helped us out from time to time.
According to my dashboard, I am only 599K airmiles from being able to join the million-mile club. Just 599K.
When I would stand in line to board the plane, I would take note of the guys who had a 100K or 125K tag on their bags. I never got over 50K in one year, and I knew how much that much travel wore on me. I couldn’t imagine doing 100K or 125K. We called them road warriors.

Travel can be fun if you’re on vacation and enjoying the sights and sounds of the world… but business travel, while interesting, has a different feel, and being away from family isn’t what most of us want.
I’m flying to Yellowknife in March and Ottawa in April, so I was thinking about the road warriors.
