The news of the USA invasion of Venezuela took everyone by surprise, perhaps not some, but most. The UN Secretary General has denounced it, the leaders of the EU have issued a warning to the USA about the “rule of law”, Canada has issued a statement about the need to look to Venezuela’s good in the hands of the Venezulan’s, and even China has issued a stark warning to the USA.

My question, not original at this point, but my first thought was, how can you run Venezuela when you can’t run the Kennedy Centre?

And, how can you denounce Russia from invading Ukraine or China from wanting Taiwan? The hypocrisy is stark and apparent to all. Even Majorie Taylor Green, not my favourite US politician, asked the question on everyone’s mind – “So is doing this okay if it’s us, but not okay if it’s another country?”

And what about Panama, Greenland, Cuba, and even Canada, now to be on watch for Blackhawk helicopters appearing in the night sky?

By the way, have you read about the major battery manufacturing plants now planned for Canada, not the USA, because the leaders of even companies like GM want to have a stable economy to work within? Yes, the world is watching the demise of the American Empire.
