Now, 9-months-old Nugget is getting close to his adult size. He is around 7 lbs, that’s 3.17 kg foryou metric bugs! He is full of life and vigor but not in any destructive way. He enjoys playing, usually early morning or after supper. He loves to nap and has really got the art of rolling over down so you can rub his tummy. OHHHH, he really loves THAT.

He loves to go for a walk and he prances along at a good pace. Can you keep up? I prefer his harness when walking. He does like to chase a bird if it’s on the ground and not far away. In the summer he was going after seagulls that were in the park – they would soar off and circle above his head and he would watch them until he figured they weren’t going to come down and play with him.

He loes to have a bit for fruit in the morning – chunks of apple, blueberries, raspberries, and a few cheese curds, though not too much cheese.

Yesterday he was with me when I went through the Tim’s drive thru. The gals who saw him were so thrilled, and he wagged his tail hard. They gave him a plain timbit and I broke it up for him. HE LOVED IT. Is it good for him? Probably not the best thing he’s eaten but he sure enjoyed it.

Today his winter coat arrived – from China.

It has a fleece lining and built-in harness for his leash. It is water repellent and fits perfectly. He looks pretty dapper I think!!!! He tried it on and seemed to like it better than his raincoat!!!! With colder weather coming soon, I think he’s ready to face the elements. Maybe the other question is, am I?

That’s our Nugget update. He is good as gold and really a wonderful addition to our family!
