Have you heard that 1 year of a human’s life is equal to 7 years of a dog’s life? Well Nugget is 7 months old today. He’s lost all his baby teeth and been neutered. He’s trained and knows to let us know when he needs to go out. He walks well on a leash, and is increasingly tolerant with us brushing him. He’s not a big fan of having any grooming but that’s coming too.

He’s still small for a Shih Tzu. His brothers are probably twice his size and weight at this point. He weighs 5lbs 8 oz. He sleeps in his own pen, in his own bed each night and makes it through the night giving us good sleep.

He loves people and other dogs – he is always anxious when we’re out of a walk to go see whoever we come across. He wishes that the birds who sit on the ground would wait for him to say hello before flying off.

He loves to go outside and to follow along as we walk. When we get to the park he loves to run and gets really excited if I race him up the hill.
