Four years ago today, we made the last day’s journey having stopped in Saskatoon the night before, arriving in Edmonton to our “new to us home”. The first house we had ever owned and the one we called our forever home. Having moved all my life, and Wendy having moved a great deal too, we hoped to never move again.
Four years ago, we arrived to Amanda, Carlyle, Fitz and Paige awaiting us on the front step with a great sign – now framed and hanging in the house!

Welcome to your new home read the sign! And what a welcome that was. I don’t think I’ll ever quite forget the emotion of seeing those three little kids standing there with their big smiles. (And of course Amanda too!! Yes we love her!)
I could fill several blog posts with the journey of the house renovation – the floors, the hardware, the trim, the ceilings, the plumbing, the paint, the lights, the doors, the electrical and IT components, the bathroom renovations, and the huge kitchen redo, which was incredible to watch. We owe much to Philip and Amanda who have done so much to make us feel comfortable here.
