A part of my life that I continue to enjoy is with The Salvation Army Social Mission, and working with some outstanding leaders. Cliff is one of those leaders and his work in leading our team in Calgary has produced some great results.
I was pleased to emcee the event and to welcome our speakers and guests. All in all, it was an informative and inspirational. Of note is the fact that we were on the land donated by Charlie Jackson, who had one of the first, if not the first, car in Canada.

The celebration Thursday was for two newly renovated buildings which provide 20 beds for women who are in our program and are transitioning into independent living (with supports). I was impressed by the MLA who wore a red dress to identify with TSA, to identity as a Canadian but to acknowledge the missing and murdered indigenous women.
