OH, how long we’ve waited!! Waited for those warm nights where we could sit on the back deck and enjoy the setting sun and the quietness of evening. There have been too many evenings where looking through the sliding glass door, unable or unwilling to open it because it was just too cold out. But now, now we can relax and enjoy our weather.

I have been busy – travelling, working, helping with the grandkids, and just keeping up with the house. I think I forget sometimes how good it feels to pause, to take a deep breath, and to sense that nothing is pushing in on us right now.

So to have this place, while not fancy, no fireplace, no glass panels, no outdoor kitchen, is wonderful, its our little spot.
