In a world of consumerism, where everyone clammers for the latest, the best, the shiny new thing, I have to say one of the nicest gifts I got this Christmas was from our granddaughter. She’s smart, creative and above all things she is kind.

She made up personal cards for each of us – and attached a hand made gift of some kind. She’s been learning to crochet so that was part of the gift.

She gave me this one to pass on to my sister Cathi. It is just the most lovely gift and I’ll be dropping it in the mail shortly. But I just wanted to share with you the kind and creative sample of this young lady who brings us such great joy by simply being around us.
