The snow has been falling and it’s been cold but the company that clears our snow has been terrific and has been here early to shovel – that’s been great. I think last year I had our driveway shovelled long before anyone showed up. This year they are beating me. Good.

How much snow is down? How about looking at the patio table as an indication. It snowed all last night and has been light flurries most of the day.

We don’t mind the snow though… here’s Philip around age 15 with Tom behind him as we ascended the glacier on Mount Hector. This was May if memory serves me. And walking on the snow and ice was no big deal…now walking up hill that long was!!
Whew. I remember that day.
Bud is in the hospital. He’s 98 and has had a heart attack – Bud is our next door neighbour. We must have been out when all this happened. So we are praying for Bud and the family. He’s been a quiet but kind neighbour.

This week was the AGM for Civida. Want to know more about Civida go here. They just were named as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. My observation is that this high achieving management team have really changed how people work together.

I’ve been asked to chair, starting in January, the Governance and Nominating Committee for the main board and been appointed to an officer’s position as secretary to the board . I was also asked to be one of two board members to sit on the board for the foundation.
I’m happy to have this new opportunity but my goodness my life is getting busy for being “retired”. What I think I’m enjoying is carving out my own future that is separate from TSA, which has been almost my own focus for all these years.
Our Christmas shopping is almost complete – how are you doing? Don’t forget to get your cards in the mail soon… oh, never mind!
