I woke up partway through the night last night. I noted the temperature outside was minus 22. Brrrr. Again, we didn’t move here for the weather, BUT… it would be nice if it wasn’t quite this cold, and of course, it is still early in the season. I mean, technically it is still autumn.

We have some way to go with winter. But those ads for all-inclusive resorts are sure tempting on a morning like this.

I don’t have much more to say today…. but I’m enjoying this picture and remembering when I took it!

Last night was family dinner – a wonderful tradition now well established. After dinner, following some book reading and relaxing. Then after Paige went off to bed Fitz decided that he would like me to go outside and play soccer. Now we’ve had about 20 or more cm of snow. Not deep but not a dusting.

He put his snowsuit on in a flash, grabbed his hat and mitts and we were into the snow with a soccer ball! We had a blast. He was diving and rolling in the snow. And all the time never stopped talking about what we were doing! And it was at least minus 20.

I saw the neighbour’s lights on and took out my phone to grab a picture…an autumn picture.
