It was a delight this week to have an opportunity to be in Toronto for the IT committee meeting. I had the privilege of having breakfast with Jonathan and coffee with Lee. Plus some time with the great IT team! These are such great people with enormous talent. When I first decided that a revamp of our IT department was necessary, I had no idea the complexity of the project ahead of us.

But as Tuesday began there was water leaking into the basement from the bathroom. I sent Philip a note and by the time I landed in Toronto Wendy sent me this picture below.

Rather than a little project we are rebuilding the bathroom….now the tile, tub and cabinet are all gone and we’re ready to order the new parts.
Again, what would we do without Philip nearby – he is a delight. So fortunate we keep saying.

There were a number of good opportunities over the days in Toronto. I had a chance to have dinner with my cousin Belinda. That was delightful. And a chance to catch up on family news.

Last comment is about the book, The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. An unusual approach to a leadership book but very good – I am recommending it. My plan is to give this as a gift to each of my direct reports for Christmas. This will be a book review/discussion in February for us as a group.
