Once you own an RV of any kind, I think the bug never leaves you. Here was our one and only attempt with a class C motorhome. We had a blast!!! I mean what a great campground – not necessarily a great RV. I still can’t believe that Ward and Bessie loaned it to us, but they did and we headed off with no real idea of where we were going or what this would cost.
What were we thinking?
Oh, I know. Yahoo….we’re in an RV!!!

The kids were young – and they loved it. This wasn’t the fancy of rigs but we had beds and a kitchen. The gas consumption was a bit of shock! I think we were bringing in some $160/week and we went through $50 of gas in no time. So we saw this campground and pulled in. They had a spot and we took it for the week.
Wendy was awaiting gal bladder surgery and we simply had one week – thus borrow the RV and get in some time off. I remember Wendy had to be careful what she ate and I was actually the best cook.
All that to say we loved it. But soon after we were tied up in summer camps as DY’s and so it wasnt until we got to Ottawa that we thought about what we might be able to buy….the answer was NOT MUCH.
Yet we bought a small trailer and we had a great time camping for the next seven summers. I loved it.
To my point today. I think we’ve got RV fever. We keep looking at trailers, small RV’s and wondering – should we? could we?
We have RV fever. We could borrow back our trailer from Phil and Amanda – that would make more sense, but we still keep looking. What would it cost, where would we store it, how much would we spend pulling it? Yes, let’s just stay in a hotel, that makes more sense and yet….

And then we see a small trailer for sale…
