Beach day

on

Just under two hours from Ottawa is Bonnechere – a lovely provincial park with a sandy beach, many amenities and large pine trees giving comfortable shade on a hot day.

It’s been a long time since I swam in an Ontario lake – and what a treat to do so. This lake is not deep. The sand was soft and the temperatures warm so that made the experience all the better. We had a lovely picnic and went for a walk in the campground part looking at (with some envy) the trailers that were on site.

This was also a chance to get to know Celine and Bella a bit better – we are so very happy to welcome them into the mix – or perhaps they are welcoming us into their extended family.

And while the photos give you a good idea of the area, a video helps more. Just smell the forest around you!
