Canada crossing

on

3571 km was the total as we pulled into Ottawa. This is a big country and this time we decided to stay north of the Great Lakes as we travelled. Edmonton to Brandon MB, then to Thunder Bay on the second day. The third day took us to the small town of Kirkland Lake and the final day to Ottawa. Almost all of Ontario the speed limit is 90 km/hr. Not that anyone was travelling that slow.

We had supper at this really lovely spot on day one! What a surprise that was to stumble on it along the highway in the small town of Moosimin – a delightful meal at the Red Barn.

There are parts of the journey that don’t have much along the way but as soon as you’re in Northern Ontario the scenery is lovely.

We had no trouble with the van and it ran along strongly and smoothly. I really think Toyota makes a great product.

In Kirkland Lake we had the best meal – butter chicken at what could be described as a lean-to!

Soon we will head back….but we had fun getting to Ottawa!
