It’s been a while since I did an update, so here’s News from The Villa

Yesterday word went around TSA internally that I will be taking up a new role on September 3 working for THQ as the Regional Director for Social Services serving the PNT – the prairie and northern territories division.

Now that doesn’t begin until September 3 but since it’s been announced I thought I would mention it here. I have to add, I’m delighted to be able to work with Jennifer Hillier who I have the highest regard for.

Wendy and I were recently at West Edmonton Mall as part of our time with Noah. We went into the British Store, which of course sells all things British. I’ve been looking for Langs pickled onions in the grocery store but to no avail. So I was delighted to see that I had the choice of three different brands at a reasonable price!

The other evening Wendy and I were out for dinner with Bruce and Karen. We arrived to a sparse restaurant. Now that’s unusual for us as we tend to visit popular places that aren’t part of the restaurant chain scene. We were handed the menu – here’s the senior’s menu.

I was thinking of having the spghattei… weird!

Prices were reasonable but the food mediocre. And I’m being generous. Then at 6:30 they came and told us they were closing in 10 minutes because they weren’t busy……okay!

We went across the street and had coffee at Tim Horton’s.

And lastly – the garden is doing well. Here’s one of my double petunas grown from seed in the late winter.
