A warning – you’re about to see an image of me after my surgery! Proceed with caution.
About four years ago, I had a small nodule grow on the corner of my nose. After a visit to the doctor it appeared I had some skin cancer but it didn’t take much to remove it and off I went, though it took about two years for feeling to return to that part of my nose.
About 4 months ago, the same appeared… and this time it took much more effort to deal with it.
Now get ready for a picture.

The tumour had migrated across my cheek and so the incision was longer, and it took some skin grafting and “tucking” to get the cancer out and the skin back in place. This is of course with the bandage.
Would you like to see under the bandage?

Yesterday was suture removal day… thank the dear Lord. Having the bandage and tape on my face was uncomfortable. Not painful, not terrible, but not what I would like to have.
When people would ask what happened, I would tell them about the grizzly bear who threatened the neighbourhood children and how I wrestled the bear into the woods… and then they would say, “are you being serious?”
It will take a couple of months for this to finish healing.

Apparently when the plastic surgeon is done I will resemble George Clooney.

Oh Fred, many prayers for your healing!
