A great place to work

Working for the final 12 years of our officership at THQ made this building somewhat special in our journey. After all, over 25% of our days were spent here in ministry in various administrative roles. But one of the things I got to do was begin to make some changes to the building physically. I noticed that coming into the building there were no immediate indications that this was a Christian place of work. With two bulkheads in the foyer, it seemed that this was a place to make some declarations. So I had Micah 6:8 put in this obvious place. I put John 3:17 on the opposite bulkhead.

The 7th floor

My office was on the 7th floor which gives you access to the roof – and as I had oversight of the building, well I could get on the roof!

My office was lovely – rather large but I enjoyed having plants and pictures on fhe wall – yes almost like a bit of home – we spent enough time there!

I miss this place – not Toronto or the traffic – but this place was a comfortable place to work. One Saturday Jason and the kids were in, so I brought Rachel, Beth, and Ted in! We walked around the building and stopped into the finance department for a picture.

The grandkids

Now here’s a picture… In the 7th floor men’s washroom was green tiles. But one of them was crooked. Was it there as a mistake or on purpose? I couldn’t help see it every time.

Yes I took a picture

Lastly, on the same floor was Wendy and I was always glad she was nearby!
