Last week was another milestone. Yes, another birthday. How could this be, wasn’t I just 40 recently? I hope the adage “time flies when you’re having fun” is true. Seems to be.

The traditional birthday dinner of cabbage rolls and perogies followed up with peach pie happened again this year. Thank you, Wendy! And Philip, Amanda, Carlyle, Fitz, and Paige sang with gusto “Happy Birthday to Grandpa. What more could I ask for?

My dear sister Catherine, always comes up with a great card – and no doubt if you were in the card store you would hear her laughing as she hunted down the right card. And then there’s the question, “who is the favourite child?” Now Mom will tell you that she loves us all the same…and yes we know that. BUT, who is #1 on the speed dial?

As the only son… I guess I shouldn’t go there… as today Cath and Terry and Noah and Laura are on the front line of being there for Mom! They are all the favourite child at some point in the month.

But Cath did find this garden stake which will find its way to the garden this summer. I laughed when I saw it. She really amazes me!
