Merry Christmas

It’s that time of the year again – time for baking, gifts, family gatherings, and Christmas. This is our third Christmas in Edmonton since moving here and of course our third winter. If the current forecast continues, not likely but if it did I think we would feel we bought those warm gloves and coats in vain.

But tomorrow who will talk about the weather. No, it will be about the fun of opening gifts and celebrating together the birth of Jesus.

Today we celebrated my birthday – and enjoyed my favourite meal of cabbage rolls and perogies! And no birthday supper is complete without peach pie!

Wendy has once again baked some of my favourite things and how could I come to this point of talking about gifts without saying what a gift she is to me, to my life. We pledged to grow old together and day by day, week by week, Christmas by Christmas we see that pledge holding true. I am ever so grateful to God for bringing us together.
