We are supportive and in agreement with not posting pictures of Amanda’s and Philip’s children on social media. We keep to that out of respect for their decision and understanding what it comes out of. But I took a heap of pictures yesterday that I would love to share. But I won’t.
Fitz and I went to see the Oilers….and we had a great time!

A very generous Uncle Bruce provided two tickets for us to see the Edmonton Oilers vs New Jersey Devils. And it was a great game. Edmonton won 4-1 and had two goals disallowed. The place is loud and with all the lights and people and cameras and entertainment…it is almost overwhelming and especially if you are sever and it is your first time!

Right after church we got changed and headed to McD’s for a quick bite to eat, then caught the LRT, another first for Fitz, down to the arena. This is a fabulous facility and there was so much to see. The LRT by the way was quick, smooth, and comfortable. I was very impressed.
Fitz loved going underground as the train made its way out of the valley into the downtown. I noted how close it comes to TSA’s old ARC and recounted at one point in construction calling the city administrator to note our dissatisfaction and to put them on notice should there be an emergency which was caused by their blockage of emergency exit doors, we would be naming them in our legal action!!! But I digress.

On your way from 102 Ave towards the arena these two guys have been placed. Yup that’s Doug and Bob McKenzie citizens of the Great White North. As you see, not very white right now. But we are north! I tried to get Fitz to sit with them for a photo op – he declined. I think he was too excited to get to the arena. He kept saying “Let’s run Grandpa!”….and so we did. No pictures of that were taken.
