The weekend was fun – a great experience and I am so glad we went. It’s a five-hour drive over to Beaver Creek Camp where the Saskatoon Corps held their retreat. The weather was good for the drive and as is the nature of driving on the prairies there is not along the way. When you come to an urban area it is s good idea to get food and fuel.

We arrived in good time even giving Wendy time to spend a bit of time at a quilt show in Saskatoon. I was so glad that we could do that!

Cold and snowy – yes indeed. But of course not too cold or too snowy. We had good food, some fun sessions and of course lots of time to chat and be with friends.
On Saturday afternoon a few of us had the opportunity to build home made rockets! It was fun – very fun!

Two pop bottles, glue, fins made from hard plastic, and Play-Doh packed into the nose to give it forward weight. And lots of duct tape – lots! Then a launch – a compressor and water!
Here’s the flight!
It was a good weekend!
Then home and off to BC – more to follow!
