It’s been lovely to have Jason with us this week. He joined us for Thanksgiving Day and dinner. This is not something that happens often so we cherish these few days. He is here for the week so that we can have him with us this weekend as we celebrate our retirement. Our friends Floyd and Tracey are coming to join us to recognize this marker in our journey.

In the meantime, we are preparing to renovate the kitchen! So I’ve been working in the garage pulling out pieces that make up the boxes that form the frame for the cupboards. Some are small and some are large. I have very much enjoyed this experience.

While listening to something on my tablet I’ve been slowly working my way through each section and preparing, ever so carefully, to make sure they are assembled properly and are square!

Wendy has been watching carefully – helpful as my eye sight is not really terrific!

But now I think they are all together and soon the demolition of the current kitchen will begin!
