I was really surprised as we drove into the campground where Phil, Amanda, and the kids were. This is the kind of terrain I would expect in Ontario, not Alberta. It was great to see the old trailer which after 18 years and some investment by Philip and Amanda continues to do well.

Yes, there is lots of great forest and rivers in the mountains but that’s different – you get very cold water usually not for swimming in and the scenery is dominated by the mountains!

There was a tranquil scene and the lake was warm – very enjoyable with a small but sandy beach! It was lovely to spend the day there and enjoy the outdoors with the family. Fitz and Paige took me on a hike and as we walked through the woods I got some shots of the flowers and insects along the way.

It was a lovely setting for a lovely day of sunshine and warmth, of family and food, and of course good fun! My goodness Carlyle is good at UNO!
