Our deck along the back of the house is/was 20 feet long. It has covered over the basement window where the bedroom/my office is. Philip made the recommendation that we take one end of the deck off to provide light and create a garden.

So he went to work, and in no time flat the saw was out and 8 feet of the deck was off. Since then a base was built for the stairs to sit on when resituated.

Life around the house is showing all the signs of spring as we move away from the frozen tundra to the health and greenness of the earth breathing new life again into the air.
