Well, I think it was a pigeon – he landed just outside my office window with lunch in his talons. It took him no time at all to leave little but a few feathers. It was fascinating if not a bit gruesome.

We’ve had several birds of prey use the roof for resting, eating and I suspect watching their prey.

I don’t have a photo of them, but we have regularly had turkey vultures on the roof!
