Jason had told me that Ted not only likes playing checkers but he is pretty good. He is more than pretty good – he is really good. We had a game last night in the carport – it was a nice evening, warm but with a good breeze and out of the sun it was very comfortable.

Ted is just six but it’s clear that when it comes to patterns and strategy these are his strengths, and he LOVES board games. Most board games rely on chance. Think of monopoly or snakes and ladders. Checkers relies on timing and strategy and he got me twice! In the end Ted was the winner.
