The Gospel of John opens with this unforgettable line, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ”

And then you make your way down to the 14th verse!

The 14th verse of chapter one gives you the theme for the rest of the Gospel. “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

As I’m working from my dining room table and wearing a headset going from one video conference to another I’ve been listening to a number of YouTube music videos. This one seems to resonate with that Scripture and to bring assurance – Emmanuel – God with us. He is not only present, He is near.

One of the things I like about this video is the string accompaniment by the Eden Strings quartet – a really talented group!
