The Art of Asking Questions

I use to say I wish I was younger because I had more answers then than questions.  I’m not sure though that having questions is such a bad thing.  In fact it seems to me that I’m drawn to people who ask questions rather than provide answers – especially answers to questions I am not asking.

In my journey through the Arrow Executive Leadership Program I’ve come across the resources of Bobb Biehl.  Among his many great tools is a small book entitled Asking to Win.  In it he provides 100 profound questions, and as he so rightly observes profound questions bring profound answers.

Profound answers lead to learning and most of us would like to be life long learners – wouldn’t we?  Yet we tell instead of asking.

Why is that?

So here’s one profound question from Bobb that perhaps you can try out sometime.  If you do, would you let me know?

Profound question: What is the key to understanding the real you that most people miss?

Oh and don’t you just love the little reindeer?
