I took this photo in January 2009 after our officer’s retreat. We had a day in Lake Louise and after we had walked off the lake this horse drawn snow plow went by. As you can see the snow was deep – fluffy – clinging to the branches of the big coniferous trees. It has always been one of my favourites and as it was taken in a National Park Wendy was quick to encourage me to enter in this contest when it was announced on Canada AM.
The winner gets $10,000 which would be helpful, but more than that most photographers just like to see their photos recognized!
We’ll see what happens – there are a lot of entries!
