Wendy and I have enjoyed the support and fellowship of the retired officers of this Division.  There are 58 retired Salvation Army officers in Alberta.  While we don’t see them all regularly, we do see many of them from time to time.  They are encouraging in their comments, supportive in their prayers and always friendly and kind.

Tonight we joined the retired officers of Edmonton for a BBQ and conversation.  The fact that it was 8 degrees through the afternoon (and overcast) didn’t promise well for supper.  We did get to BBQ, and we did have a good conversation – inside.

Retired Officers are also a reminder of the host of faithful saints who have gone before us.
