Facebooked is a verb

Social Media continues to creep into every part of our lives – or at least it seems like it.  The upside, we have the ability to connect with other people more often than we have in the  past.  For example I’ve got three friends that I went to high school (Wexford Collegiate Insitute) with that have connected with me through Facebook.

On the other side I”ve been the target of some fairly nasty messages through Facebook.  Apparently some decisions I’ve had to make or been involved in have raised the emotional temperature of others.  (One of the reasons I suspended my account for a while.)  I suppose they could have just emailed my SA email address, but the fact that they chose Facebook tells you something of the power of this tool and how it has become the accepted tool of communication.

There are some interesting video on social media but I liked this short one so I’ve included it here.  In the meantime as you consider how social media has impacted your world would you say you’ve grown to like social media sites or despise them.  There is no “like” button for your response!
