A Sunday to remember

This weekend was a great celebration at the Laotian Corps, now known as New Heights Community Church. I had not been in the building since 1995 and I so enjoyed returning. In some ways, not much has changed. I remember the cross mounted on the ceiling and of course there is the cement block construction….

Celebrating 75 years – Calgary

Captain Mary Booth is a name familiar to us as she was a soldier at Hamilton Temple. There’s a reference in the Glenbow Museum. Below is the video of the booklet which is going to the archives.

The Staff Songsters

The CSS were in Hamilton this weekend. They are still in early days and their musical development is ongoing….just added bass and percussion to the team for example. They are also expanding their repertoire. It is amazing to me how many pieces they have memorized, and remember that they must learn both words and musical parts….
