The annual leadership retreat was held again this year in Kananaskis, and it was great to be back in the mountains. The weather cooperated so it wasn’t too cold to be out and about. A quick trip to Banff and Canmore was also on the menu!

With the recent warmer weather, the snow was not deep, and in fact, we could see them making snow up on the ski hill each night. In Banff the snow sculptures were beautiful though they moved them from off Banff Ave to one of the side streets so at first we didn’t see them.

We had lunch one day at our usual Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co but our dinner the next day at the Mexican restaurant was a highlight. Great food there!

These are beautiful parts of Canada and it was topped off by a remarkable, historic speech by the Prime Minister Mark Carney – the adult in the room – the smartest guy in the room – and a leader not distracted by the chaotic noise of our day.
Now it is good to be home and back to the usual routines.
