I spent 90 minutes on the phone with CRA this week, and in for one phone call. It included both our tax returns and while I think we are on our way to some resolution, here is what drives me crazy! Both Wendy and I received “pay now or else” messages from CRA for different tax years and at different times. The expectation of course is, that we have a few days to pay, but there seems NO ability on CRA’s part to actually respond in a timely fashion. I was told in February of 2025 that I would have a review and response by September 2025. To date, no further correspondence, though this agent was able to tell me that it is the hands of an agent for review.

“Are you able to connect me with that agent for me to talk to them?”

Of course not…nor was the agent I was talking to allowed to talk to them.

But it’s under review…. oh goodie!

And Wendy’s? Yes, also under review.
