Time for an update. Our new neighbours, Don and Marie, have settled in next door. They have a dog too – but a poodle…not so personable as a Shih Tzu puppy. I think Nugget was a bit disappointed that she didn’t want to be friends! But most dogs don’t want to be friends as a puppy imagines.

We were to have some roadwork done last year at the end of the paving season, but that didn’t happen, so I raised it at the previous board meeting that we didn’t want to see that happen again this year – well, they showed up this week and completed the work in one long day.

Life has been quieter this year around the Villa, or it seems to me. First, our cool and wet weather has kept people from being outdoors as much. Secondly, I have been working so I’m inside, and we seem to be out when the weekly coffee gathering is together.

Lastly, Nugget continues to charm the neighbors and even more so when he’s dressed well. It’s been really rainy lately, so we put on his raincoat. He wasn’t impressed! He would not walk in it. We’ll try again next rainy day.
