Things are growing

on

I continue to be amazed at the miracles of planting seeds and watching what becomes of them. Some seeds are quite large, like peas, but some are like grains of pepper. So tiny and yet look what becomes of them. Leaves that are unique to the type of plant, flowers that are alike to each other, and stems and the opening and closure of the buds. The blue fern, above, is so amazing. It is a tiny seed but produces a large bush, and each night the flowers close and many of them will fall off, only be replaced the next morning as the sun rises and they open again.

Gardens are wonderful places and I’ve always found my soul somewhat restored by being around the soil and plants.

Even the soil is different from one place to another. Some have more clay, other places more sand. And it all impacts how the plants grow.

Nugget reaches 4.5 lbs

Today Nugget and I went back to the vet for him to be weighed and pick up his pill – to keep him safe through the summer bug season. He is now 2.12 kgs. This is BIG news! You may wish to mail him a congratulation card.
