I think that the first thing is to say that Nugget has won the hearts of the Villa. I note now, that as we walk about people walk towards him now calling his name, and he runs towards them with tail wagging! I think we have him trained to walk with us off leash, and so he does have a bit of an ability to respond to them.

The training of a puppy is a step-by-step process. Walking with us, coming when called, walking with the leash, and walking on the leash have all been pretty much completed successfully. We are now working on “sit,” and next will be “stay.”

In other news, Bud’s place has now sold and we will soon have new neighbours who have a minature poodle. I guess it won’t be Bud’s place anymore. We also know that Steve will soon be gone. He’s in hospital and the latest word is it won’t be long.

We’ve been needing rain desperately and so it’s been good to have a few day of good rain. Everything is now very green.

We have now passed the anniversary of our taking possession of our beautiful condo. Philip has worked diligently over time to redo this place, and we are slowly getting towards the end of the things we wanted to conclude. Yesterday Philip hung our light over the sink – it’s really perfect and we’re glad to have that done. The bathroom is almost completed – maybe today!?
