Celebration Tea

With Rob and Shelley, Wendy and I went out for lunch this week. The intention was to celebrate Shelley’s retirement. Shelley therefore picked the spot, and she chose Lady Bea’s Tea House. (You can also order coffee there). It was a lovely day and this place, not far from the river valley is a beautiful setting.

I needed some help navigating the menu, but that’s another story. The conversation was a delight and the food was good. I had peaches and cream tea – of course – and that too was tasty and refreshing.

Across the street is Daisy Chain Bookstore, so we walked over there and enjoyed some time looking at books. They have a used puzzle exchange program. There were dozens of good puzzles – and you just bring one in and take one out in exchange. No cost.

Spring is a good time to be out in the fresh air – isn’t it? The tomato plants are outdoors getting some sun and beginning the process of hardening up for the spring planting in the garden.
