Tuesday left us all thinking that the cold snap was over and spring was around the corner. Alright, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but it was a good relief.
Then came the freezing rain. We enjoyed the evening at home.
Today is the second last Bible Study series that I have led at the corps. We have been looking at the Seven churches in Revelation. We’ve used this YouTube series with Joseph Stowell. If you see a book with his name on it, it is probably worth reading.
A great series – this is the introduction but there are seven more videos, each about 30 minutes.
There is much relevance for us today from these messages. So much to consider as we hear the words of Jesus “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
What are those messages? Don’t compromise, be faithful even if it means poverty or death. Keep your first love, don’t tolerate evil in the company of The Church. Live for Christ, not for Caesar. Be willing to be submissive for the sake of Christ, don’t accept temporary advantage at the cost of eternal life.

If it’s been a while since you read Revelation, or have never read it. At least read the first three chapters.
Here’s the thing – Christmas is coming, but so is Christ. He has promised to return with His reward in hand for those who have been faithful.
