A splash of colour

For those of you who live in warmer climates, where the flowers begin to bloom in February, you may not be able to appreciate the joy of seeing colour begin to dot the landscape at this time of the year. Here we are, the people of the great white north celebrating that colour is now ours.

First up is always my bleeding heart – and how it has blossomed this year. It was as if it was saying as well – thank the dear Lord it’s finally spring! I know you should talk to your plants, but honestly I don’t think they talk back.

We visited the nursery – and my goodness the prices are going up – but we breathed in – and brought home some lovely plants. As there seemed to be a small gale wind outside, I took to putting the pots together in the garage!

I only did three pots today, more tomorrow, but was very pleased with how they were coming together. Now to watch them root and grow. If you come to our door you will see our welcome basket and yes we are glad you’ve come to visit. Tea, coffee or cold drink?
