Gibsons BC

We had dinner Thursday night in Gibsons, just across the water from where we were. We went to a Mexican restaurant, which we had been to before. The water was calm and the ride there and back was very enjoyable.

The boats that they use have enclosed cab for about 6 (tight squeeze) if you need to. However, it is fun to stand outside on the back. If I was thinking ahead I would have called a couple of friends to get Tony and Anne’s phone number. They sold their home in Mississauga a couple of years ago and moved to Gibsons! It would have been fun to connect with them. Tony and Anne arrived at Mississauga Temple the same year we went to training college – and we have crossed each other’s path several times during the years in between.

We enjoyed the conversation and the food was good. And you can’t ignore the scenery. Where would you go to beat these views? The days have been around 11 degrees and mostly sunny.

When we came out of the restaurant and walked back to the boat, there were some great views of the water. There was a heron or a heron-like bird on a post.
