What is your favourite store to walk around in? Maybe lots, maybe none. My least favourite is Wal-Mart. So many things about that store I don’t like… but, what about Peavy Mart or Princess Auto?
We’ve taken to picking things up, not everything, but some things at Princess Auto. It was Philip who first took us for a look around, and now we are often headed there. For example, the second TV was hung this week in the living room, by me!

I still have to deal with the cords, but it’s up and the frame was from Princess Auto at a fraction of the cost of Best Buy or other retailers.
And Princess Auto has some really fascinating tool selections as well as other things. If I lived in a more rural setting or on a lake I could see me buying other things from there!

But would you buy your coffee there? I was really surprised to see coffee there. I didn’t buy any though I confess some curiosity at what it would taste like? Maybe a hint of sawdust or motor oil in the flavour?

And the garden continues to produce some great produce. Our jalapeno plant is now a good-sized bush with dozens of peppers growing and more white flowers appearing all the time! The tomato plants are varied so some yellow pear tomatoes plus big Mama and big Daddy plants are doing well. Here’s a sandwich I made yesterday.

It’s been a good year for gardening with a warm May and June and a wet July. The nights are now getting cooler so it won’t be much longer before we will need to harvest the last of these. The carrots look great too and I’m anxious to see how they did. The Alberta garden group I am a part of on Facebook are reporting good carrot results this year!
Finally, in my list of old cars on the road right now is this 1972 Ford Mustang – and for all the Mustang lovers out there I am sorry – but this is just an ugly car. My goodness, Ford you really lost your way in these years! And yes I removed the plate with software – it was licenced!
