I’m still loving my studies and it’s certanly got me thinking about many things about the Gospel these days. I love the emphasis upon an exodus telling of the Gospel and the theme of restoration, reconciliation, freedom and peace. And yes, we’ve not done well in telling these themes or at least we’ve been guilty to some degree of telling them in a subservient way to the Gospel of getting to heaven.

Lots to think about there….

Sunday’s Globe and Mail had this interesting article on the Pope and his latest release in telling the priests and bishops to have a ministry of reconciliation and forgiveness.

He points to their rigid theology around the Eucharist.

“I would also point out that the Eucharist is ‘not a prize for the perfect, but powerful medicine and nourishment for the weak’. “
