While waiting in Regina

Once again I’ve fallen off the blog wagon after some extensive travel.  Right now I have time, albeit in the lounge at the Regina airport! Strange to have some room to breath here!

This was a divisional leadership weekend for the Prairie division – and it has been a very good event with good engagement by local ministry leaders and their people. I thoroughly enjoy these events and the opportunity to present and engage local leaders. I always return to THQ feeling like that I’ve had time to connect with the front lines, to understand and hear and build relationships. I can’t imagine that there is another way of keeping connected.

As part of our gathering this morning we sang this wonderful song made popular by Steve Bell. It is one of those very easy to sing and reflective songs which have a haunting melody that sticks with you.

in the morning lord, we look to you…

in the morning Lord we look to you
for the strength we need just to make it through

have mercy

in the evening Lord we look back and say

it was in your strength that we made our way

have mercy

you are everything we need

feed us Lord

I’m grateful to the Lord for the way He has guided and at times guarded our lives.  We do look to the Lord for our daily bread.  And we look to Him for daily guidance.

So even amongest the business of this current season of our lives we cannot do anything more than rely on the Lord
