There are some events in my life as an officer that I had anticipated as possible.  Like being at camp, or being a DYS at camp.  I thought it might be possible to be at ICO or to travel a bit around the territory…or even into the USA.

There are other events in my life that I did not think might be likely.  I never thought I would have 3 different appointments at DHQ or 3 different appointments at THQ. I certainly never expected to be in my current role.

And I never expected to be sent to a European Zonal conference.  This was one of the best experiences of my officership – loved the people, the topics discussed and the setting.  We were at the Belmont Hotel just outside of Amsterdam which is owned and operated by TSA. It serves as a hotel and as a support facility for social services.
