Happy birthday Cath

I call her my “little sister” and that’s what she is.  She’s 12 years my junior so I remember things about her she couldn’t – like when she learned to walk, or what her first words were.  I remember what she looked like headed off to school for the first time and how she loved ice cream as a toddler.  I remember her sitting on my lap in a church service and how certain tunes made her cry.

I also know that now she’s a married woman with two great kids that she has incredible energy and a wonderful sense of humour (like her Dad) and that she feels strongly about doing what’s right.  I know she loves her family and friends and she will go to great ends to help them.

I know that her faith is important to her and that she works to live that out – everyday.

I know she is very special – to all of us – and on her birthday it is my prayer that her life continues to be filled with joy and promise.
