When we lived in Calgary there was a spot I loved to go for their French Onion Soup.  I would enjoy a steaming bowl for lunch and leave feeling like a very satisfied customer.  The broth – the bread – the cheese!  Mmmmmmm….

This weekend we were able to spend a couple of days away (celebrating 35 years of marriage) and we stayed at the Holiday Inn in Amherst NY.  Attached to the hotel is the Blvd Bar and Grill which turned out to be a very nice and reasonably priced restaurant.  They serve the best French Onion Soup I have had in a very long time.  When I told the waiter he wanted to know if I was going to blog about it (does he know I have a blog?) and I said I thought I just might.

So to you who read this I recommend the French Onion Soup.
