Happy birthday to Jason today.  He’s 30 years of age now and is a husband and father.  Amazing how quickly time goes by.

We welcomed him into our home 30 years ago in the town of Listowel.  We were young – neither of us were 30 yet and we were new Salvation Army officers.  We were poor – no savings account, no big salary, no expensive holidays or fancy car.  We were rich in life though with a great family and now a son!

I remember how nervous I was!

And we prayed God would bless our lives and guide our parenting.  Jason has grown and developed into a fine man of God.  He’s got a good mind – a strong writer – a kind Dad – a good husband.  He enjoys being with others and spending time with friends.  He sees the needs of others and attempts to help.  He works hard at home and school and has some great objectives that he’s working towards.

We wish Jason many more blessings and God’s guidance as he celebrates 30 years!
