A year after Newtown

A full year later and not much has changed.  Except that the families who lost their children to a mass murders actions continue to grieve.  It is terrible enough to lose a child through illness, but to lose a child through the actions of such a horrible action is certainly more tragic.

I’m afraid I’m never going to understand the constitutional right to bear arms – especially from those who put forward their position in light of these kind of disasters.  I’m left with the question how does one’s rights trump the safety and security of children – of family?
And yet there are millions who do.
May the LORD forgive our selfishness.
