In |October of 2012 I was in St. John’s NFLD for a week. I had the pleasure of making it to Conception Bay South for a brief tour. I use to come to that area when I was 19 and there was nothing but brush and ocean there. Today it is quite developed and there is a lovely park by the ocean.which we visited. Across the bay I could see a oil platform that was in for repairs. Unfortunately I didn’t have my G10 with me (can you believe I forgot it?) So the original shot to the right is taken on my BlackBerry through one side of a binocular. Above is the edited version using Adobe’s Photoshop Elements.
I would like to give you some scope of how large the platform ship – the red and white ship to the left is a supply ship that we would see in St. John’s harbour regularly.
I’m back to Newfoundland in April – I’ll take my G10!
